Arriving with a single phone call also came dismal expressions. Soon came a black sedan marking the end of their parade. I was at Starbucks today and this couple was there for a few hours. I decided to be a stalker and write about them.

Don’t agree with all the points and some parts are over exaggerated but there is no denying the rising trend of ‘dressed by the internet’.

If I may. This article is a load of shit.

The masses that simply follow trends will always vastly outnumber the ones who start them. There will always be people who invest more time looking at what people wear instead of what they themselves are wearing.

This exists within any facet of fashion.

There are many a #menswear icon to look up to, but the like-minded folk of the world will tend to migrate to dressing like them, instead of using their style of as a fuel to create their own [style].

The problem with fashion, simply, is not because there are a larger amount of media outlets through the Internet, but because most people just don’t have the mind to finely execute personal style. And really, we can’t blame them for how they dress, or even stoop so low as to blame them for the death of “personal style.”

Lastly, the contention that if clothing has no meaning it’s just lifeless garb is the stupidest excuse to fill space on an empty page. Half of the article heralds this point when it has no bearing. Sure, some clothing has meaning, but it doesn’t have to have meaning in order to look good.

In the end, personal style is just that: Personal Style.

It’s how you dress, it’s how you express to the world just how much emphasis you place on aesthetics and how creative you can be. If you dress like the Internet, you’re just not creative. If you have a lot of nice clothing but don’t know how to put it together, you just don’t know what actually looks nice. If you have both, however, your name is probably ~~Nick Wooster~~ Johnny Le or ~~Brian Trunzo~~ Sean Cuerpo.
